Basilicata is a region of Southern Italy rich in history, culture and important archaeological sites. Bathed by the Tyrrhenian Sea to the south-west and to the south-east by the Ionian Sea, Basilicata is the ideal destination for weddings organised on the beach. Matera, Potenza, Maratea are ideal destinations for intimate and cosy weddings and they are also favoured by the presence of numerous castles. The region is easily accessible from Bari (one hour by car) or Brindisi airports (one and a half hours by car).
